I named her Miksa, after her mother, as a tribute to the remarkable qualities she has inherited. In Mika, I see the perfect blend of traits that make a true Basenji. She carries about 80% of her mother’s strength, assertiveness, and sharp intelligence—just look at how quickly she learned her new name! Yet, there’s also a subtle softness in her, a gentle touch that comes from her father.

 

 

Little Miksa is a dog of contrasts: bold yet affectionate, independent yet deeply connected to those she trusts. She is a testament to her lineage, embodying the resilience and spirit of a true Basenji while possessing just enough tenderness to make her unique.
